A Southern favorite with a decadent twist—this Chocolate Pecan Pie combines gooey chocolate, crunchy toasted pecans, and a buttery crust for the ultimate holiday (or anytime) dessert.

- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3–4 tbsp ice water
- 1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- 1½ cups pecan halves (toasted)
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in butter until coarse crumbs form.
- Stir in ice water until dough forms. Chill 1 hour.
- Roll dough, place in pie dish, and crimp edges. Chill again.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toast pecans for 8–10 mins, let cool.
- Melt chocolate.
- Whisk corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, butter, vanilla, and salt.
- Stir in melted chocolate.
- Fold in pecans and pour into crust.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until center is set but slightly wobbly.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. Chill the pie crust before baking and avoid overbaking to maintain a gooey texture.
